I had used the restroom at work yesterday and immediately noticed a speck of blood in my pantiliner and upon wiping, noticed some spotting. Why did this have to happen at work of all places? I immediately start crying with all kinds of customers and coworkers around. I compose myself enough to call my ob-gyn office.
They asked how far along I am..nearly 25 weeks. Am I feeling the baby move at all....well with the anterior placenta that I've got, not so much. Did I have sex recently...nope..not in over a week. Was I cramping at all...no thank goodness. They decide for me to come in right away anyway. So I hop in my car and waited what seemed like forever until they could finally see me.
I had to give them a urine sample (as per usual) and thankfully this time I didnt see any spotting of any sort. They do the usual weight and blood pressure check and with that Im given a johnny while I wait to be seen.
Finally Im seen and had a more painful than usual vaginal exam, but no bleeding was found, the cervix would good and closed and baby's heartbeat was thump thump thumping away. I had done a whole lot of bending and straining at work yesterday which probably wasn't such a great idea and was most likely the cause of the spotting I experienced and with that Im excused for the rest of the day and return to work tomorrow but will have to take greater precaution to avoid this happening again.
Im so sorry this was long but Im so glad and relieved that everything is ok since I wasn't so lucky the last pregnancy around when I had experienced spotting (at work once again) and had unfortunately lost the baby last time.

that is very scary! kudos to you for keeping your composure and being able to get to the dr safely to make sure everything was fine!!?
That is very scary. I'm glad you're ok. Same thing happened to me at 11weeks and I thought I had lost my baby for sure.
GL! Hope you feel better
I'm glad everything is ok! How scary!
I had a pretty bad scare myself. After a day of heavy cleaning in preparation for our move, I had some spotting and cramping. After a night in L&D, it was determined that everything was ok and that I just need to take it easy! My husband banished me to the Lazy Boy for the weekend and now I am feeling much better.
So moral of the story is, put your feet up, drink lots of water and take it easy for a couple of days!
