Please help me organize my drawers.
We have two dressers dedicated to baby. One is tall and it lives in the closet. Right now, I'm thinking clothing and extra blankets can go in there.
The other is low and will double as a changing table. I was thinking this could be the "supply" dresser. It was two columns of 3 drawers. What should I put in them, and in what order. So far I have:
Diapers/wipes Wash clothes and towels
middle row of nothing... what should I put in there?
eating utensils(don't need them yet) What should I put in this one?
any better ideas or different arrangements are welcome, too!
Re: Organizing drawers... HELP!
Put clothing that fits baby in the changing table one. The last thing you want is a blowout diaper and a naked baby with clothes stuck in the closet
I'd put eating utensils in the closet until you need them, then move to kitchen.
Bedding and such in the closet.
Wash clothes and towels in the bathroom if you have room.
Diapers, wipes, medicines, thermometer, etc in the top drawer of the changing table one.
you'll need a drawer for socks, bibs, burb cloths. ?They could go in the middle drawer that has nothing. ?
Are you putting any clothes in the drawers or are you hanging them all? ?
You will find that you redo them as your needs change. I would put in the top drawers what you need at every change and other essentials like the thermometer, nose sucky thing, etc...
In the second row I would put PJs and onsies for easy access.
In the thrid you could do pants, socks, shoes, things like that.
Right now they are all hanging just because we didn't have the dressers cleared out until last night.
Someone just suggested that I put some clothing in the changing table dresser so they are within easy reach.
I'll probably have full outfits that don't fit yet hung up, ones to grow into in the closet dresser and now the clothing that does fit in the changing table.
yes, i agree with putting clothing like pjs and onesies within close reach!! ?
How about this configuration?
Top left- Diapers/wipes
Top Right- care essentials (nail clippers, nose sucker, medicine)
middle left- onesies that fit
middle right- bibs, socks, and burp clothes
bottom left- towels and wash clothes
Bottom right- still empty
I don't have much room in the bathroom to store things, but I can fit extra shampoos in there.
In the closet, I'll hang outfits to grow into. In the closet dresser, I'll put blankets, extra bedding, and onsies to grow into.
