Good morning! I know you are not on here very much anymore, but I am hoping you check-in and can answer this (personal) question for me....
I recall you mentioning that when you became a single-parent household, you contacted your mortgage company and they reduced your rate and monthly payment. Well, I am a teacher as well and just got laid off. We do still have my husbands income, but we were hoping to maybe be able to get a rate reduction to help out a bit while I look for a new job (which it doesn't look like i will be getting this year). Anyway, I am also in South Carolina (hilton head) and thought if you had any insight it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hey - I have no time to Nest anymore since school is out for summer (no more baby/student free planning periods!)...
I called Wells Fargo and asked some questions. Basically, I was told to not pay my mortgage for three months and then they would approve my case. Try calling your lender and ask about the loan modification programs they offer, and if you would qualify. Good luck!
