I don't know what they are really called, but you know, those knee length shorts in a dress pant/suit fabric, while wearing heels. Are they appropriate in a "business casual" office setting?[Poll]
I said no because in my business casual office they would not be considered acceptable. But I sort of think it depends on the profession you're in, and the type of people you work with.
I don't know, but I love them! I would never have considered them business casual when I worked in an office, but that was 5 years ago. Things have changed a lot since then in work attire, I think.
I think it depends on the office. Our hospital has a summer policy that you are allowed to wear them so that they don't have to keep the offices as cool (save energy).
I think it depends on the office, industry and area of the country you live in. ?I know FL had a much different "business casual" than anywhere else I've lived
I said no because we had a powerpoint presentation on what is acceptable in the summer for "casual friday" and those shorts had a big 'ol red X through them.
The rule of thumb for me is if I have to ask myself if what I am wearing is business casual appropriate then it probably isn't.

I said no. in the business I am in, computers, shorts are not business casual. bus casual would be capri pants, in a nice fabric.
