I used a hot glue gun. Then when I realized how much he wanted to use them I used clear packing tape. I really should have him make another set. We, like you (which you already know from my list of projects to do) do a project or two ( or three or four or five) everyday. So I can easily just pop it into our day.
I was checking out your blog a couple weeks ago. I'm glad you enjoy the shaving cream idea. So much fun and so easy.
Yes, Carter has a huge bullentin board that I bought for his artwork. I bought some letters to spell out his name and those are at the top of the bullentin board.
Then I tack up his artwork as we make it that week. At the end of the week I take a picture of the work up on the board. Then it comes down. Some of it goes into his art work scrapbook, some in the bin of his saved artwork and others gets mailed as cards, pictures, etc to family (aunts/uncles/grandparents/etc). His cousins really enjoy all the mail they get from him and send him back a picture (or a note, for the older ones). They all love getting mail, so it works out great.
I'm butting in here-- but my DD and I do lots of art/projects together as well. (The highlights of our day!)
Our house is very much for the kids----we aren't into decorating or whatever so in the living room and kitchen we strung fishing line between two nails and used tiny clothespins (i think i found them on etsy) to hang artwork. We also did this above the doorway between the kitchen and living room for photos that we switch out when we get new ones developed. This is the main way we "display" the artwork and DD is SO proud of it----when ever anyone comes over she says "see my pretty artwork?" I think its so cute.
Zacook---I just looked at your crafting blog-- cute ideas!!! If I come up with any cute projects, I'll have to let you know.
We do lots of crafts with paint and cookie cutters, as well as contact paper and confetti... plus more. but yeah. i love when moms aren't afraid of messes!
Oh and I frame some of his artwork and then change that around as well. Mel, that's great. If you want the list I have compiled (I did it awhile ago I think when I was still on the knot) just send me an e-mail (or Zacook, I sent her the list awhile ago) and I'll send it to you. It has a few art project ideas. Kersbear@gmail.com
