The only place I know that has carts I can sit both babies in is Costco. it's so annoying that I can't go food shopping...I've tried pushing the cart & pulling the stroller but I couldn't do it!
some of the MoMs say they put both kids in a single cart seat- sort of sideways with one leg through a hole and the other leg bent and them facing each other - have you tried that?
yeah- they should have 2-seaters... not just for twins- but people with 2 young kids. When will they get smart???
One of the stores by us (Weis, only in PA and Northwest NJ I think) has a double cart, with a car attached to the front. You COULD fit four. I fantasize about bringing all 3. The only problem is the cart is SO small! Don't they know someone with FOUR kids needs A LOT of cart space?!?!?
Ask your local stores. My local grocery store has two seaters that I love, and one time I was going through the check out and the store manager was helping bag the groceries and I told him how great the double seaters were for those of us with twins. He said that they bought them in response to a specific request from another mother of twins a few years ago who called and told them that she wanted to shop at the store but couldn't without double carts. I'm benefiting from the request she made.

that is good to hear - I will have to chat with the store managers at my 2 favorite grocery stores.
We should all petition Target, too - maybe they'll start to have them in all stores!
Can you put one in the top part and one in the basket? Not sure how well they will do. I'm hoping when the twins are little to wear one in a sling, put one in an infant carrier in the upper part of the cart and my almost 2 year old in the basket. Not sure how realistic this is. Otherwise I'll never be grocery shopping I'm afraid!
I might have to make a request to my local stores to ask for 2 seaters. A follow up question I have - How do you get two of them into the store to put them in a cart?? Do you hope one is in the parking lot for you to use?
I keep using the stroller even at Target where they have two seaters because I can't figure out how to get the kids into Target first in order to use the cart!
