how do you keep it from stinking?

We just finally took the PnP w/ the changing sation down from our room (sniffle) and put the diaper champ in DD's room.  i swear it stinks more in there then it did in our room, but it really bugs me.

 any suggestions besides changing the bag every other day?

I dont think mine stinks at all.  I spray Lysol in it when I change the bag.

I empty it out as often as I can and I spray it down with Lysol.  I haven't done it yet but I was thinking of putting one of those airwicks in it.  Not sure if that would work though.

Ours doesn't stink at all. Maybe try washing it thoroughly, inside and out in case some poop made it out of a diaper and ended up on the plastic somewhere.

I don't think mine stinks, but ever since DS was born my sense of smell hasn't been very good...

 yeah i did that the other day actually.  She's formula fed and has been from day one.  For about 3 months we'd give her breastmilk for some feedings (whatever i could pump which wasn't much).

 maybe its because she's getting older so her poops are stinkin' more?

maybe tomorrow i'll scrub it again and do the lysol thing.  i've been fabreezing, but that didn't work.

good idea with the air freshner in the bottom.  hmm

From my experience, it's usually the blue rubber ring that retains the odor. Make sure that gets cleaned and lysol-ed. If you have a chance, put it outside in the sunshine for a few hours. That always seems to work.
