My LC said to try to have 5 days worth of milk saved, for the number of feedings you will need while you are gone, when going back to work. For me, that's 105 oz of milk. Did anyone actually have this much frozen when going back to work? I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to keep up with them once I go back to work and that they are going to end up needing several formula bottles every day.
Re: How much BM did you have frozen when going back to work?
I am not sure how much I had frozen but I have only had to dip into it a few times and I keep adding to it just about everyday. Right now I have an entire shelf in my deep freezer full of bags of milk. They go all the way back to the beginning of March and keep going until yesterday. I will be adding more tonight too.
As for keeping up once you go back to work just make sure that you give yourself time everyday to pump at least twice if not 3 times. Continue drinking lots of water and eating lots of protein! And don't get discouraged....you can do it!!
