I know every baby is different, but please tell me how many ounces your 6 week old is taking (or took) and the longest they will go without eating. My DC is a big baby (was 10 lbs 6 oz at birth!) but he is taking 5 ounces per feeding already, usually every 3-4 hours during the day. However, in the evening/night he will go a stretch of 9 hours sometimes without eating (granted he doesn't sleep that whole time, but still). And during the days, he rarely really cries to tell me he is hungry. He just starts grunting, moving around, etc. I know he is maybe just a laid back baby and has a bigger stomach so can hold more, but this is just not like my first son was at all!
Re: feeding amounts (formula)
Thanks! What time is his last feeding that he sleeps 6-7 hours afterwards? (that is something else we're working towards figuring out)
We bathe and feed him around 9pm. He wakes up around 3 and goes back to sleep until 8 or 9am.
