DD slept from 10-4:30 for the last 2 nights. For those of you with babies that are now sleeping longer streches, do you get up to pump or go until the next feeding? It would definently be great to sleep that stretch with little one.
Although I want to sleep, sometimes I have to get up to pump b/c of leakage. Sometimes I only pump one side bc its the fuller side. I actaully pumped at 4:20 this am and she woke at 6:20 and she only ate one side so I gave her the side I didn't pump from. I also need to build up my stash some more so that's a great way, otherwise I haven't had enough milk to pump.
Prior to the last week or so, I was still getting up every 2.5 hours to pump. I wanted to build a stash and I was overly paranoid about losing my supply. Now I have been sleeping from midnight to 6:30 without pumping. I haven't had any issues, aside from a little discomfort first thing in the morning- but I just pump as soon as I wake up.
Yay for sleep!! When my lo started sleeping longer stretches I would pump only if I woke up in pain from engorgement. It took a few weeks but it got to a point where I could sleep through the night too.

Once she started sleeping through, I stopped waking up to pump (unless I woke up on my own and was in pain). Now when I wake up I'm not leaky or even super full.
