    we have tile everywhere but the bedrooms, we will most likely buy a couple cheap rugs and lay them in the living room so he has an area

    I guess the main concern would be him hitting his head against the floor... but yeah a rug should do the trick.

    DD never banged her head while crawling and we have wood floors. They're so close to the ground that by the time her head came in contact to it she had already rolled across her arms so they cushioned her fall, KWIM?
