Has anyone had to take this after having their baby to stop bleeding? My daughter is 6 weeks old today and I have very very very light bleeding (I wouldn't even call it bleeding, it's more like discharge with a little brown) and my midwife gave me this to take for the next 24 hours. I have heard it can cause horrific pain - anyone taken it before and how did you feel?

I had to take it for 24 hours when DD was 2 weeks old to help stop the bleeding.  It helps to contract your uterus so it can cause cramping.  I wouldn't say it was horrific pain but it was uncomfortable.  It was kinda like period cramping.  I took extra strength tylenol and it did help some with the pain.  HTH!!

Ya know, I am still having some brown discharge too.  I told my doc today and she said it should stop in the next two weeks or so.  She didn't seem too worried about it though.
