Random birthcontrol question

So I am thinking about going with an IUD... but I was wondering...

I am EBF, and am hoping to be one of the lucky ones who doesn't get a period for a while bc of it.  Will starting my BC cause me to have a period?

I know, not the smartest question, but I am curious.

    I have had paraguard for 2 months and no period.  I EBF and my DS is 3 mo.

    My doc said that Paraguard will not impact when I will get my 1st PP period (I will get it whenever I was going to get it before IUD).  Not sure about Mirena, though, becuase it has hormones...

    I dont know if the breastfeeding part changes anything but i know in general they say the mirena (has hormones) will usually lighten up your periods or no periods at all. The paragaurd (copper iud, no hormones) will usually make your periods heavier and crampier.

    DS is 4mo, I EBF and take the mini pill(camillie?) and no period yet!
