Depends on your LO. Their stomachs/digestive tracts mature around the 6 month mark and may be more tolerable. We will go back to the Pediatric GI in a few weeks to see if I can start adding in some dairy/soy.
It is usually recommended that you try putting a little back into your diet after a few months. Most babies outgrow it by 1 year. I have been trying some this week, but now DS is having green diapers. So, I have to cut it out again. That was just from me eating things with dairy in them (not milk, cheese, ice cream, etc but like a cookie with milk in it).
I only have to avoid obvious dairy. Ditto first poster that they generally outgrow after a while- they are human infants and not meant to be able to digest cow's milk proteins, which is the issue. I have some frozen milk in our deepfreezer that has dairy proteins in it and I'll try that when she's 6+ months to see how it goes.
