Take the whole stroller. It will be easier if you have somewhere you can ley her down. You can also push her around the reception while you are visiting with friends and she will most likely fall asleep from the motion.

B. Can't you leave her w/your parents or ILs during the reception?? I sure would not have wanted to take DD to a reception at that age!! But, if you have to bring her I guess your best bet would be the carseat! GL!

Yes that sounds like a good idea but I would make sure to try and put a light blanket over the carrier and make sure people aren't passing him around. We actually opted out of a wedding at 1 month old because of the high exposure to germs and the pediatrician recomending that we not expose to so many germs so soon. If people want to handle the baby I would make sure you have a polite repsonse of how to tell them no if you aren't comfortable. I'm not one to be over reactive I would just be really careful because if the baby gets sick before 2 months it's likely they may have to be hospitalized (says our pediatrician).
Re: Taking a 3 week old to a wedding...
I agree.
A. Where are you in WI?

We took LO to a wedding at 2 weeks. Kept him in the car seat the whole time except to feed/change diaper. He slept the whole time.
Good luck!
