Filtered, tap, or sterile water to mix formula?

Re: Filtered, tap, or sterile water to mix formula?

  • We use ready made, but if I have to use the powder I use the filtered water from the fridge.  At my parents' house though, I use tap.

  • We use Nursery Water because we travel a lot and Monks has bowl issues (she runs constipated or very runny). This allowed us to keep at least ONE variable under control.

Right now, if we weren't going to be traveling to VA and ME and then moving to Germany (with a stop in SC and GA before we get on the plane), I would take her off the NW.  But that is too many different filtration systems in a short time (45 days).

  • I recommend buying a reverse osmosis filtration system for your kitchen sink.  We bought one a few years ago and it has already paid for itself.

We got it at home depot for a few hundred dollars.  The filters are cheap and only need replaced every 6 months.

  • bottled spring water. we use the big jug with the tap attached to it for at home. we just sit it on the counter and take bottled with us when we go out.
  • boiled tap or bottled

  • At home I use filtered from the fridge.  I don't mind using tap if I need to.  I only use bottled water when we are somewhere like the lake that has well water.
