facebook pics

My dh and I do not post any pics of my dd on the internet at all. Just don't for reasons related to my old job.  My sister, with whom I don't really get along with, has pics posted of dd on her site.  Now, my dh is furious that she would put up her pic there.  I don't think she did it other than she put a whole album of stuff on there including her kids.  So, now I'm kind of upset that she'd post pics of my dd without permission but like I said I don't think there was anything mean sprited about it.  My dh is furious because she doesn't have really any relationship with dd (my dd does know who she is but she doesn't really bother with dd) and that he doesn't like her pic up there.  I don't get along well with her so if I ask her to remove it, holy hell will break lose. I'm thinking to leave it but dh doesn't want to.  WDYT?

Re: facebook pics

  • Does she have it set as an "only friends" picture?  If she does, I don't see the fuss.  If she doesn't, maybe you could tell her that your H is all paranoid about pics on the interwebs.

I don't get why people fuss about pics of their kids online.  Your kids' school will probably post pics online when they're school aged.  You may as well get used to it now.

  • The only thing I don't like about having DS's pic on here is that I'm easily recognized if someone see's his pic. But, once my work life doesn't matter I won't care anymore...

  • yes, it is set to friends only.  I'm thinking of not saying anything.  I'm not thrilled that it is there but I don't want to start a war over it.  My old job was makes me keep things like that.  But it is friends only so I guess that is better than not.  Thanks, you made me feel a bit better.
  • As long as she doesn't have the names of the kids on there, I would be fine with it.  But if it makes you uncomfortable, ask her to remove it nicely.
