OPK Question

I normally just use my CBEFM and chart but for some reason I decided to try out OPK's(just another thing to obsess about lol).

I know alot of women get a build up to their positive OPK. My question is does anyone else get a faint line then have it get lighter and then get darker again?

I started using the OPK's 3 nights ago and the LH line has gotten lighter every night. I had an annovulatory cycle last cycle and Im afraid of it happening again.

Do you test at the same time every day?  Do you make sure that you are limiting your fluid intake about 4 hours before you test?  Some people swear by that, I just try not to drink a big glass of water the hour before I test.

Usually, you will get increasingly dark lines, but not all the time.  I would just wait it out.  On your ticker, it says that you are 3dpo.  Is that true?

Also, the test line needs to be darker than the control for it to be a positive.  I have annovulatory cycles too, and when I don't ovulate, sometimes I can have 3 days of the test line being almost as dark as the control, but never darker.

Mine would vary thoughout the day.  The lines were usually non-existant in the morning, darker in the afternoon and gone again by night time.  I did notice a "fade in" in that the one the day before the positive one was really close to positive then the next day at the same time of day I would get my positive.  What brand are you using?  I used the ones from saveontests.com every cycle but one (I ran out before I had time to order more).  I used the Answer ones that cycle and never did get a good positive...so I think brands have something to do with it too.  I was able to catch my O by temping that cycle though.

It will change with different timing each day.   The negatives dont matter how dark/light if they go back and forth.  Only the positive matters- so try not to obsess over the negatives!

Also- your chart says your 3dpo.... what are you using OPKs now?

I test at 6 pm and try not to drink to much after 1 pm. I know Im not 3dpo, I almost always O cd 20/21. The test line hasn't even been close to the same color,just really faint.

HEY!! Im so excited about Baby Kitty being a healthy little boy! I'm using the ones from earlypregnancytests.com and Im still using my CBEFM and have gotten highs since CD 9.

I cant wait to join you over there too, hopefully this month!

I test at 6 pm every night. Im trying to not obsess but its so hard not too lol.

FF is a liar. Im 98% sure O hasn't happened yet. my temps are still in my normal pre-O range and I haven't got a peak yet on my CBEFM(which I know its possible to miss a peak and still O).
