Hey,
I saw you gave that book rec on the stories of children with DS. Can you give me the info again? I have a friend who's PG now with a son that has DS. I was thinking of sending it to her. Do you think she'd get something out of it now? She's known about the diagnosis now for a while and seems to be completely at peace and is very excited for his arrival. He will be baby #3 for her (actually, boy #3!!). So I think she'd be receptive to a book like this. WDYT?
Thanks!
Re: ****Cooker***
I think she could get A LOT out of it, if nothing else than perhaps easing some of her fears and anxieties about her baby.
The book is called "Gifts: A Book About How Children With Down Syndrome Enrich Our Lives."

This wouldn't necessarily be something to give her now, but I also recommend the book "Babies With Down Syndrome." Kind of like a "What to Expect In the First Year" for kids with DS.
