When did you start giving snacks?

Just curious when you started giving your LO snacks and what did you start with? Aiden is doing pretty well with 3 meals a day, but I'm wondering if he should be eating small snacks in between and what? Thanks!

E was over a year before she had snacks. As she was weaning we replaced nursings with snacks. She was also 9mo before she had 3 meals a day. BM or formula is their primary nutrition for the first year. There's no need to rush to more and more solids.
When they started solids, we did 3 meals a day, w/ formula as snack until they were 1, but we'd give the occasional handful of veggie puffs too.
