I just gave up.  Sigh.  You cannot dictate the responses you receive (other than in the formation of the post).  If you don't want responses, post on a blog.  Why is this a difficult concept?  I didn't even think most of the responders were particularly rude.

I just read through that post on 1st Tri. Wowza.

I don't get why people are so impatient these days to find out the gender of their LO. Yes, it's super exciting that you're having a baby and yes, very cool that the medical world can have a pretty good guess about what you're having that early. But, why break out the jump to conclusions mat and put all your cards on having a boy if they are basically guessing it's a boy at 12 weeks? It's a 50/50 chance. Can't you simply wait another 7 or 8 weeks for your 20 week u/s, then do the "hip hip horray" for vag or peen when they can definitely tell if it is a vag or a peen?

If she thinks that's rude, she obviously needs to find a new place to post. And correct me if I am wrong, but I did not think u/s techs were even allowed to do anything besides actually run the u/s machine. All deciphering and discussion of the u/s results is to be done with a doctor only.

Wow, there's a bunch of unprofessional u/s techs out there!! Why any of them would give a percentage of a guess that early is just strange to me.
