::blinks:: Is that a Chef I see?!?

No effing way.

Where have you been?!?!

Is there a penis or vag inside you?

Re: ::blinks:: Is that a Chef I see?!?

  • I almost hopped on you in the post about Ihearthim below but then I saw this one.

It is a chef that you see!  A chef that's in medical school now... that was a twist.

**runs and hops on Blair and steals remaining doughnut crumbs**  I missed you and assisting on GBCN's with you!!

And it's a girl, Olivia Lee, due Oct 15... had my date moved up a week.

  • A girl!!!!!!

Med school??  SHUT THE EFF UP.  That is awesome.  Explain.   I need details!

  • Well, upon finding out I was KTFU I had to do some real thinking about my career-- and it occurred to me I've never once met a happy chef.  They never see their families, most end up divorced, and though they have visitation they always have to work and end up being a huge disappointment to their kids.  I'm not a fan of that life plan.

So I packed up my pony and moved back home where a new medical school is opening through Virginia Tech.  Currently I'm training to be a surgical technician.  Once I get in the OR and I'm working at the hospital, they will pay for my education since it is their school Tech is opening.  With their tuition assistance, I'll go to school to be a nurse anesthethist which pays like 120k base salary (only about 70% of that will have to go to malpractice insurance. lol).  And while I do all this, the hospital provides daycare and full benefits while I work.

  • That sounds AWESOME.  Good for you!!  I have a girlfriend that is back in school to be a nurse anesth. & she loves it.

How are things going with the sperm donor?

  • Actually pretty good, we still have a rough patch here and there, as does anyone, but he's really come around.  He's getting so excited about the baby, is working hard and making a lot of sacrifices to build the bank for us... told his family to f^ck off (over the paternity suit) and acutally went so far as to dig up our hours from the restaurant on the dates on and around estimated conception to prove we were in the restaurant 14 hours a day that week.  lmao  I thought that was the funniest (most smart ass) way to prove paternity to someone.  ((Yes, I am implying the kid was conceived in our restaurant.  But not on the dining tables or in the kitchen I promise!!))

He's still an idiot on occasion but God help him I think he's really trying now so that's good enough for me.  And he's going to labor classes with me bc he wants to be my labor coach.  haha  So cute.

  • I am glad things are going well for you!

I know it's all been touch-n-go & grabbing by the seat of your pants, but it sounds like you're moving into a better career & that the penis is behaving :)

Romance, or just platonic parenthood?  I am curious.  I feel lost without you being on here for MONTHS.

  • lmao Did you have to start watching Days of Our Lives to fill the void?

We're together, I'm still quite fond of him, but we're doing it from a distance which sort of sucks.  But I think it's helping, really... it gives us more time to talk and really bond, and the days we get to spend together are all the better for it.

He's actually coming down today to job hunt, he wants to move down here and be closer to me and Olivia.

  • Almost!!!!

that's good :)  I am very, very happy for you as long as you are happy!!

Now, final question:  Is this a return to the bump or a one-day stand?  I do not like to put out & then wake up alone.

  • Oh I think I'll stick around this time, the drama is getting too funny now.

The BSC last night inevitably led to the "You all must have tackled your husbands in order to even get knocked up because you're all so ugly and fat" line.  So in another post I said something to the extent of "What did I miss?  I fell behind while I was begging my DH to have sex with me but he said I was too fat" and then stirred up a debacle where I was told I was offensive to abused women all over!!

How can I walk away from that kind of entertainment?

  • huh.  Weird.

    I would have laughed.  lolz.

But I have a twisted sense of humor.

  • I did laugh... so hard the baby woke back up and starting kicking me.  She's an angry little thing.  We had to wake her up for the ultrasound and you could see her shaking her fists like a little old man.  Too cute.

And boy are we popular... 215+ views.  haha
