QOTD:  Is anyone feeling baby move yet?

Stacia: My doc says 1st timers don't usually feel movement internally until 18-22 weeks. I swore I felt something lastnight, but not 100% sure. I'm just so excited to feel something already!

Re: **Jingle Bellies Monday check-in**

  • I *think* I've felt some flutters a few times, but not really sure.  This is our 2nd child, so I was hoping to feel the baby earlier ;D
  • Loading the player...
  • No movement for me yet..  =(  but I don't expect it any time soon since this is my first!  I can't wait though!!!  =)
  • ooops! i added the pic to my siggy w/o signing up.  so sorry! lol

will be sending my info shortly. :)

  • I feel LO move all the time.  I love it but boyfriend doesn't because he gets jealous that I feel baby and he doesn't.  I keep reassuring him that only a few more weeks and he will be feeling LO too.
  • I don't think so, but I'm not sure I would be able to tell the difference between gas and baby at this point.  Everyone says initially it just feels like little bubbles.  Is this true?

  • I feel mine and its my first definately not everyday but more and more frequently. Its kinda a fluter but the best way someone described it to me is a muscle spasm but shorter. After I heard that I felt it all the time.
  • Not yet, I am too early.

  • Not yet, but I'm really hoping to feel something in the next few weeks. I'm hypersensitive to every little twinge right now.

  • Bubbles, popcorn popping, or like a ripple.

I've definately been feeling my little man move around for a few weeks.  This afternoon DH and I were lying in bed and I got a huge punch.  I guess he didn't have enough room.  With my first I didn't feel anything until closer to 20 weeks.

  • I'm pretty sure I felt the baby for the first time a few days ago. I was poking on my belly, and all of a sudden I felt the little gas bubbly feeling--in a place that I don't normally feel gas bubbles. I'm almost positive it was baby. ;)

  • Yes!

I felt the air bubble/tapping thing at 16w exactly and then a few days after that I started feeling little kicks. It's such an awesome feeling!

  • I'm pretty sure I flet something the other morning.  DH had his hand on my stomach right before we got out of bed on Sun. and all of a sudden I could feel like a tiny "rolling" sensation away from his hand.  He said he felt it too but it was very quick.  So I can't say for sure but we're hopeful that it was the LO!! :o)
  • I thought I felt something a few mornings ago but I haven't felt anything since so it was probably my imagination

  • This is my first, too.  I think I feel the baby...like little taps or little muscle spasms.  My DH is dying to feel something, too.  We may be wishing a little too much.  My doctor said that women feel as early as 13 weeks.

  • I am pretty sure I felt something last week or so.  It felt like I was being tickled from the inside.  It may or may not have been the LO, but just taking in the experience anyway.  It felt like popcorn being popped or bubbles.

  • I AM! I AM! I AM!

All my milestones with this pregnancy have been early.  I started feeling movement at 13 weeks and the only reason I knew it was because it happened during my NT Scan and I said to the tech "wow I keep feeling this weird 'popping'."  She told me to raise my hand if/when I felt it-like a hearing test, so I did for the next few minutes whenever I felt a pop.  She smiled real big and said "sweety-You're feeling your baby move!"

They've now gone from little pops to full on kicks sometimes.  One kick even made me yelp because it was so hard it hurt!  Little ninja is going to kick my butt before it comes out! I'm one of the lucky ones-I got to feel it so early!

  • I'm also in the "I think I might have" camp.  I took a yoga class last Thur, and after the class when we were laying quietly I felt similar to what others have described as a muscle spasm, but nothing was spasming that I could tell.  I felt the same thing in intensity one other time since then, everything else I'm just over analyzing  ;)

  • Still waiting, but had a few moments in which I thought I felt something, but I guess only time will tell.

So...all the jingle bellies should be in the 2nd trimester now!!! YAY!!!  Congrats ladies!!!!

  • I keep thinking maybe I'm feeling it, but then I always have gas within 5-10 minutes, so I think for now it's just gas bubbles, but it's hard to tell.

Nothing yet unfortunately. I pause throughout the day once in a while to see if I feel anything, esp after I eat, but I haven't felt anything that I can distinguish as the little baby.  I know it's moving in there, I saw it on my u/s, it must just be too little to feel!

  • I don't know if it's because we're expecting twins, but I've been feeling definite movements since 14 weeks. It's much more than flutters now and they are all over the place, very busy little babies...especially at bedtime.

nothing that I can say for sure is the baby.  A few times I have felt things and thought "that felt weird" but not sure if it was baby or just me.

  • I'm having a hard time telling movements as well. I keep thinking I've feel something, but then I think its just gas! I'm ready to feel something too!

  • Yes.  It's like little bubbles in your stomach that don't pop.....it's such an awesome feeling.  I don't feel it often, but it's been a few times now.  I can't wait until DH can feel them moving too.

Only once! Last week when I was sleeping on my right side on the sofa, and suddenly sat straight up.  It felt like something was really rocking back and forth!!!  it was awesome, but nothing like it since!
  • Nothing.....but this is my first so I'm not surprised.  Looking forward to it like crazy!!

  • Went to the doctor today and it was funny because I told him I have this weird feeling on my left side when I get up too fast.  He asked me to show him where and he laughed and said that is exactly where the baby is.  It was cool to find out I wasn't losing my mind and that was actually the baby.
  • Not yet, but I just got over here to second trimester :)

This.  Although the other night I was in the kitchen waiting for dinner to finish cooking and I felt this huge "ball" of vibrations/explosions on the right side.  I don't know what it was but I just stared at my belly waiting for something else to happen.  I haven't felt anything like it since.

I want to know what I am feeling is baby.  I am so anxious!

  • I have definatly felt something, it sort of felt like someone had opened a bottle of soda against my belly it was all bubbly. I know it's the baby as the feeling keeps moving around my belly, if it was just wind then i know it would be in the same place all the time!
  • i've felt a few flutters and my stomach felt like it was doing the wave a couple of times. this is my second though so i think that's why i've felt something already. it's not consistent though. usually when c pushes on my stomach.
  • Nope, nothing here.  I'm a first timer so I'm not expecting to feel anything for a couple of weeks yet.  I'm really excited though!!!!
