"Go Green" baby shower idea
I just had my baby shower this past weekend and part of the theme was going green. Here is an idea we came up with and worked out well. On the map insert the host also added something like: to "Go green" and wrap your present in the bag you purchased it in, or re-use another bag, be creative, etc. The best "Go Green" wrapped present will win a prize.
Here is some things people did: wrapped the box with "parent" magazine covers that even had the return address on it so I knew who the gift was from. Another person used their restaurant take out bags. Shredded paper instead of tissue paper, and someone brought us a tree to plant for the baby. I thought all of these were great ideas. The prize was a re-usable shopping bag and $10 gift card for our local grocery store. It was a lot of fun to see the great ideas!!

My sister threw me a 'Go Green!' shower a few weeks ago - and also encouraged guests to wrap their gift in a receiving blanket - which a number of people did and it looked adorable!
