2nd Trimester

Dear Allergies,

I hate your stinkin' guts. You make me vomit. You're the scum between my toes. Love Armourall

but seriously, it's been a horrible weekend, zyrtec helps a little but not much, the nasal spray the doc perscribed that helped a lot is a steroid spray and not okay during pregnancy, so I just live with it. My lips are so chapped :(

any suggestions?

Re: Dear Allergies,

  • I've had some luck with the netti pot. It provides some relief and moisture for my nose. It doesn't make the allergies go away, but it does seem to clean out my sinuses for a little while.

I've tried my DH's netti pott but the one side is too clogged or inflammed and the water just builds up and creates uncomfortable pressure without draining. DH says to keep trying that eventually it will work loose, but it's very uncomfortable so I haven't. But I will try again when I get brave.

  • I am right there with you. I took a Benadryl last night before bed and slept until about 2:30 but then I had to pee. If you figure something out, let me know because I am miserable.Sad
  • I'm in the same boat at you.  Claritin is just not cutting.  I mean I does the job after a while but I'm still sneezing my head off every morning.  I sure do miss my nasal spay that is not pregnancy approved.

  • this has been the only pregnancy symtom i have had, i guess i should consider myself lucky, BUT...i have been MISERABLE for the last 5 months. and there is only one thing that has semi helped. i have a nasal spray that i use. its sinex with vix.
