2nd Trimester

Should I worry about this?

My feet and ankle bones became swollen yesterday. My husband said they were swollen saturday morning too, I didn't notice and he didn't tell me until last night. I know swelling can be normal. The question is one foot is more swollen than the other, and it tingles all of the time.  I laid down on my left side last night and the swelling has gone down some. We checked my BP last night a couple of times and it was normal. My hands are a little swollen but my face isn't. Should I call the doctor or am I being paranoid? I already have a regular appt for thursday.

  • I would call, definitely. they will tell you or advise you what to do. Better be safe!!

  • I don't know.  I haven't noticed that one side swells more than the other.  When the one side tingles, how are you sitting/laying?  You might be pinching a nerve.
  • Better safe than sorry; I'd give them a call for advice or just the peace of mind.  No sense worrying about it until you know whether there is something to worry about.

  • It tingles pretty much all of the time. More if I put pressure on it.

  • It can be normal but to put your mind to rest call.  Also try to sit with your feet up when you can they say it is good to have them a little higher than your hips.  Drink lots of water and try to keep moving.
  • My left foot has been swelling almost my entire life but since I've become pregnant it swells and tingles more often. This sounds like a post that I wrote. I talked to my doctor about it and his only advice was to put my foot up and wear a support stocking. I hope you can get help, but I've just dealt with the pain.
