Bedding rant.

I was so excited at my big u/s to see the little one that I wasn't even disappointed that we couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl. Truth be told, I almost don't want to know now...

 The only real reason I'd like to know now is so I could decide on bedding/nursery theme.

If for some reason we don't find out I think I want to go with this:

Which DH & I both think is cute, but it's been out of stock for awhile and it's only available online at BRU. No one bought anything for our wedding shower that was only available online, so if we tack it onto our BRU registry we're pretty much going to have to buy it ourselves- and I'd probably buy it elsewhere if I'm buying it myself- pretty sure I can find it cheaper online at other sites.

It seems like a big PITA to register at another store just for the bedding, but we really, really like that papagayo bedding...

i love the first one, i think it's really cute. i would honestly just search for it elsewhere (to find a cheaper price) and then buy it yourself.

Do you think there is a chance that you will get any gift cards?  If so then you could use them to order it yourself.  Even if it is just a small part of the cost it would be worth it.  So I would wait.

The only thing you'd need from a bedding set (other than any decor, if they come with any decor, like a lamp or valances) is the sheet. Crib bumpers and quilts pose a suffocation hazard to baby. But if you really just have to have one I'd wait to know the gender. Because if you find out that baby is a GIRL you're not going to want a neutral set. You're going to want PINK.

I don't know why you expect other people to buy it for you.  If you want something for your baby, buy it yourself.  You are the one having the baby.
