Hi,
I am sorry if this has been asked before but I am new to this page! I now have HIGH Bod Pressure s y docor is having me see a Perinatologist. Should I expect an ultrasound at my first appointment tomorrow, or no? They said it would be an hour long and my OB said they should tell the sex by this appointment, I just am not positive if I will get an ultra sound. Anyone else have the same situation and know?? Thanks so much!!
I also posted this on High risk page but it seems slow over there!!
Re: Anyone seeing a perinatologist??
And if your OB said you would probably be able to tell the sex at the appointment, I'd imagine you'd be having an U/S. Not sure how else they be able to find it out within an hour. How far along are you?
I see a Maternal-Fetal specialist, pretty much the same thing. At each appt. the tech does an ultrasound to see how baby is growing, etc. and then sends the info to the dr., who then comes in and also looks at things via u/s and goes over the findings. (in my experience he/she has never done a pelvic exam, not sure if that's always the case or not). The ultrasound that is performed at that office is 3d/4d and is higher tech than the one at the ob's office, so they were able to see the sex at 17 weeks.
Good luck!
