Just curious how many people have this as a front runner on their boy list? I see Finley all the time now that I have a daughter named Finley and see it on here at least once a day. So just curious how popular Ezra may get.

LOVE the name Ezra!  My BF has a 4 year old named Ezra so it's not a choice for us.

I like Ezra, but it's not on my name list (if I had one).  Sorry everyone's stealing Finley.  It's what I'd wanted to name a girl forever, but I'm rethinking it now that I see it all the time on here.

I adore the name, but it wouldn't go well with the middle name we're using. The middle name we've chosen is too important to me to change, and I wouldn't use it as a first name due to its popularity.?

I have to say, I've seen far more posts about Ezra lately than I would have expected. It does seem to be gaining some popularity. I would check the SSA list for the past 10 years or so and see if it's been working its way up the list. That's how I ruled out a few of my considerations; they aren't uber-popular now, but they've been increasing by 50-100 spaces every year, leading me to believe they will be even more popular in years to come.

It is so tough to gauge how popular a name will become.  Particularly, if the nest is your main source of info.  For example, people on this board are always saying that Madelyn/Madeleine/Madeline is too popular and they won't use it.  I don't know anyone else IRL with that name besides my daughter.

With that said, I love Ezra, but am not likely to use it and i don't know anyone with that name.

I LOVE the name Ezra! I was reading a book with a character in it named Ezra and have loved the name since. I would put that top on my list, but don't know how my bf will like it.

Ezra's one of our top picks, but we honestly won't use it first.  We are going with traditional Irish names first (in honor of our families), then depending on how many children we are blessed with, go from there.  So, while I LOVE the name; it, unfortunately, probably will not be (at least the FN) of any of our children.

PS: I DO love Finley, though!  Since it actually is Celtic, it's on our list of "probably will use" someday!
