My Dr. ok'd it but I don't take it really. Doesn't seem to help my issues. For those of you saying its a 'No' what's wrong with it?
I also take Alka Seltzer which dissolves in water and it works way better than Tums for me. The active ingredient in the type I buy are just are sodium bicarbonate, which I'm pretty sure is just plain baking soda. Also, if it gets really bad I occasionally take a Pepsid.
I looked up Pepto online last week and decided not to take it because it was one of those that apparently can affect the fetus but it's somewhat unknown.
I think the only advice you can truly rely on is try not to take any more of any medication than you really must. Nothing is without any minute risk whether it is medicines or food but babies cannot be created on air alone so. . .

My husband says "because it is an aspirin based medication, like ibuprofen is."
Interesting. I wonder if that applies to all Pepto products? Anyway you gotta be careful with the Alka Seltzer and read the labels because sometimes it does contain Aspirin but there is definitely a kind which does not. I definitely have to check it when the hubby picks it up because he can be kind of oblivious.
Re: pepto question?
My doctor gave me a list of O.K medications and Pepto is on the list. I take it all the time for indigestion.
Pepto is a definate "no" according to my doctor. Tums are the only safe remedy.
they say green grapes are a home remedy and that actually works a little bit as well
