I'm taking one and making DH take it as well. I havne't figured out where yet, I was just going to go through the Red Cross but that's a good idea about the hospital.

Yep, hubby and I are taking an infant CPR/choking class that is offered through the hospital we're delivering at. We're going to ask the grandparents to attend too.
I work in healthcare, so its required for me to be CPR certified and they always go over infant CPR in the class everytime I have to recertify. I don't know if that's the same thing as being certified in infant CPR.
My husband is an EMT, so he is very well trained with CPR for all ages, as well as other medical emergencies. ?He is going to teach me before the baby comes (although I have taken non-certifying CPR classes in the past...)
My husband and I took one through the hospital this past Wednesday evening. I was a lifeguard so I've taken CPR many times for certification and my husband is child/adult certified as well. I had him take it with me for the infant portion and a refresher.
It was not a certification class, but was definitely worth going through. I figure the practice can't hurt and if something did happen, hopefully the chances of responding with some confidence (even in extreme panic) are greater with more knowledge.
I will because I need to renew my certifications anyways. I'm making DH do it too. I was a medical assistant, and will be starting nursing school soon, so I have Provider certification anyways. Infant, child and adult.

Take it if you can!
