I went to do my weekly shopping trip at Wal-Mart and noticed a "maternity" section in the clothes. I thought, "Yay! Wal-Mart has finally figured out that pregnant women like inexpensive clothes too!". I went over and found a small display of about 8 tops and 4 different pants. Not only was there basically no maternity section, the things they did have were UGLY...the tops looked like something my grandmother and her friends would have found "appropriate" for today's pregnant woman. Geeesh....

Re: I think my grandmother works for Wal-Mart.
I went to Walmart this past weekend. Their "Maternity" sign was hung over the baby section. I asked 3 seperate people who work their, and all said that they don't even have a maternity section.
Walmart = FAIL

Yeah... the maternity section at our super Wal-mart included about 4 tops. None of which had ANY stretch in the belly area.
I conclude, Walmart = FAIL.
I found my one rack of maternity in the lingerie section at our Wal-Mart. However, if it makes any difference, I did find some capri's that were elastic in the back in the misses section that I see me wearing for another month or two.
It seems to be like that everywhere - Target, JcPenneys, AT Loft. Really small collections of super casual clothes. I like Motherhood a lot and the prices aren't bad. Their return policy stinks, though.
Kohls = fail too
Two racks...come on there are plenty of pregnant women out there!
