I think it's a little insane that the network had to initiate a break rather than the family.  You would think they would at least have the decency for the sake of their children to want some private time to work through things.

I know! But I am glad that they are getting a break! I think the only reason J&K didn't initate the break is cause Kate is to $$$ hungery!

I think Kate's decency regarding her family went out the door a long time ago, unfortunately. But to be fair, chances are the Gosselins were bound by a pretty strict contract that didn't allow them to cancel mid-season.

Yeah, my guess its more to do with backlash than any good will on TLC's part.
