Daycare vent

SO PISSED.  Thursday I get a call from a daycare that says "we have a spot open for August 31 and were wondering if you're interested"  August 31 is earlier than I'll need, but only by a few weeks so I called back and told them I was absolutely interested, but that DH hadn't seen that particular place yet and would it be OK if I brought him by before committing to it.  They say sure, and I make an appointment for Friday.  We get there Friday, it's a different lady, and she's looking through our information and says "looks like our earliest opening is January or February"  I kindly mention that I got a call saying they have an opening and she says "oh, someone else already took that spot"  WTF?!?!?  If I had known it was a take it now or lose it type thing I would've taken it right then and there.  I'm soooooo pissed now.

Silver lining: I saw one of my neighbors (just graduated from college) is working there in the infant room - which means she has all the CPR/SIDS/infant sign language training.  I'm going to get in touch with her and see how much they pay her and maybe I can just steal her away from them. (insert evil laugh)

HAA I love it, you should steal her!  What a bunch of BS that they gave the spot away!

I'd be so angry that they didn't mention that when you told them you wanted to bring your DH in first. They definitely deserve for you to steal your neighbor from them.

Honestly if they are that unproffessional and unorganized. . . you are better off without that daycare.

How unprofessional of them not to tell you it was a take it or lose it offer.  Good luck stealing away your neighbor.
