1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you? My baby sleeping on his tummy

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast?today he had 2 boca sausage links and 2 mini pancakes.  Other mornings he has yogurt, turkey bacon and maybe some dry cerial

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside?Yes he can spend forever wandering around outside Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty?Yep!  Cruz sits up by our hot tub and throws the rocks down into the grass which really ticks off dh hee hee!

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference?depends on the age and what it is.  Any baby under 18 months is really just trying to communicate.  Its when they are over 3 I think when that starts to fall into play.

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl?probably 4 or 5

6. What is going on this week?Not a whole lot, hoping for better weather!

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you?  Sleeping with blankets, stuffed animals, etc.  We do it all.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast?  Oatmeal and yogurt.  And sometimes she'll eat half my cereal too.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty?   She'll pick up anything - spiders, dirt, rocks, etc. but doesn't like to get super dirty.  Especially her hands, she always wants to wash them.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference?  I've always ignored that kind of screaming.  "No whining" I tell her and she *usually* stops.  When she throws fits for something she wants, I redirect and/or she goes into timeout.  I don't put up with it.  I think the older they get, the worse the tantrums... especially when they can communicate and they still don't get what they want.  lol

 5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl?  We always have 6+ pairs of shoes in rotation.

6. What is going on this week?  Hoping for better weather!

7. Questions for next week?  What kind of juice do you give your toddler?  Do you water it down?

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? pancakes, fruit, cereal bars, cereal, waffles, bacon, yogurt.  He doesn't really like eggs, but he'll eat any other breakfast food we give him.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty?  Yes.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference?  I have never allowed Tillman to do this.  I have given him time outs right in the middle of a store or wherever if I have to.  There was a time when he was throwing fits often and I would just plop him down wherever he was and make him sit until his fit was done (it was pretty quick after he sat down - 15 seconds or so).  Then we'd talk about it and move on. 

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl? A few hand me downs and some Target brand "robeez"

6. What is going on this week?  I go to the dentist today, I might have to bring Tillman to work with me tomorrow, T-ball practice Thursday, that's it, I think.

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you? providing all organic food

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? fruit, yogurt, milk, and either toast and peanut or almond butter, mini- whole wheat pancakes, or a whole grain waffle, or french toast or a bagel and pb or cream cheese, I'll also add scrambled eggs with cheese to any one of those a few times a week

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? Yes but he never gets super dirty - he's pretty clean for a boy.  He likes to help me clean -hates seeing anything on the ground that is garbage.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? Not tolerated And does age make a difference? No - the older they are the more unacceptable it gets. DS knows to sign "please" if he wants something and we remind him when he forgets.

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl? 2-3

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you?  Organic foods. I will buy if priced about the same or on sale, otherwise I think more about the hormones.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast?This is my question, I feel we are in a rut.  We do a lot of whole grain blueberry waffles, dry cereal.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? He would spend all day outside. Loves to play in any water (dog dish, bird bath), dig in flower beds. Even in the rain he won't come in willingly. 

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference?Once they are of a certain age and able to talk about feelings/issues, I think a quick time out (if necessary), talking about what is bothering them, redirecting. 

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl? 2-3, including rainboots.

6. What is going on this week? MNO on Wednesday; dinner and movie.  Morning at the spa Thursday.  My birthday is next Monday!

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you? I feel like I am unconcerned by so many things other people are concerned by   We CIO super early, organic eating, tv watching, music listening, BFing for a long time, etc. 

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? Oatmeal and yogurt or cereal and yogurt.  Sometimes pancakes or waffles will make it into the rotation.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? Similar to previous posts.  He loves being outside and touching everything, but he doesn't really love to be dirty so we have to wash his hands a lot.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference? My DS is going through this right now.  Usually if we change the subject he is fine, but sometimes I will say to him "and I wish I had a million dollars" which he laughs at (although I don't think he knows what it means).

6. What is going on this week? My DH is out of town for the week so I am a single mom.  We'll see how that goes.  I am excited for the weekend to hang out with some girlfriends and go wedding dress shopping (for one of them).

7. Questions for next week? For mom's with boys, if you got your son circumcised, did you do it at the hospital or did you do it at the peds office?  Was there a difference in cost?

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you?  Tummy sleeping, blankets/bumpers, etc.  I'm pretty laid back.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast?  Lots of fruit, puffins, rice crackers, oatmeal.  He's pretty limited because of his allergies though.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? Yes!  He's a daddy's boy and will spend all day out in the back yard scooping dirt and throwing rocks.  We just put sweats and play shoes on him and let him go for it.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference?  I do think age makes a difference but once they should know better it gets pretty annoying.  My friend's son does this and it's hard to hang out with her.  I feel like he only does it because she gives him everything he wants all the time so now he expects it.  Annoying.

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl?  Gage has about 10.  He only really wears 3-4 on a regular basis though.

6. What is going on this week?  Another check up for Gage's ears.  HOPEFULLY the ear infection will be gone.  We're on our 4th antibiotic in a row.

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you?  Formula feeding and sleeping with a blanket and bumpers

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? eggs, breakfast bars, yogurt, fruit, waffles etc.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? She is sort of a princess and usually does not like to get dirty.

I dont mind it as long as the parent is not playing into it.  I sometimes think if you give the tantrum a ton of attention it just makes it worse.  I would probably excuse myself from wherever I was and take the child away till he she calmed down.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? Oatmeal with blueberries, yogurt. (Is Will a toddler? He's 1, so maybe not. If not, disregard.)

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? He hasn't gotten in to dirt yet, but he likes pulling grass out and throwing it. Rocks and leaves are also good fun.

I'm fairly understanding if, like Jas*sGirl said, the parent isn't playing into it. I'd probably also try to get the child out of the public situation if I could.

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you?  blanket in crib, and sugar. We don't give him tons but also don't stress about it.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? Oatmeal or waffles, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, cheese, scrambled eggs.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty?  Yes he will seek it out and he seems to love to get dirty and put it in his mouth.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference?  He is good at stores sometimes  he will scream not for stuff but just because. In a big store I just ignor it or say Hey we are inside don't scream. It seems to have been only the last few months that he has done this so for me age seems to make it worse then better.

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl? He only has 2 pairs of shoes. 1 that he wears most of the time they are brown the white ones he does not wear very often. Usually we keep him in just socks.

6. What is going on this week?   Not much just a normal work week.

7. Questions for next week?  Night time waking and screaming how do you handel it? I know he is not hungry but not sure if he is teething.

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you? Germs. We're clean people, but I have friends who wont let LO play in sandboxes, mall play areas etc. And they won't attend play dates if anyone has a slightly runny nose. If I kept DS home everytime he had a runny nose, we'd never go anywhere!

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? Yogurt or cottage cheee, Fruit, eggs with cheese, waffles or oatmeal

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? Yes. Like others, he would stay outside all day if we let him. For awhile he went through a stage where as soon as he woke up he would get his shoes and go to the back door and say "OUT!"

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference? It depends on the parents reaction. If the child screams and the parent give in I don't have a tolerance for this. If the parent is trying to redirect and or remove the child from the situation I am sympathetic. This would be regardless of age.

 5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl? 2-3. We buy 2-3 pairs in each size.

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you? Exploring & Accidents. I know she will get hurt at some point and I try to protect her from major hazards, but I really want her to enjoy trying new things and not be afraid.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? Banana and Yogurt with a grain, such as cereal, pancakes or waffles. On the week-ends we also have scrambled eggs.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? Somewhat. Not super dirty but she definitely likes to explore everything!

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference? I'm understanding of the occassional meltdown but I work hard to teach DD other ways to communicate what she wants/needs. If it is someone else's child, I am always understanding if the parent responds in a way that seems appropriate. If the parent responds in a harmful or childish way, I am not at all understanding.

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl? She normally has around 4 pairs of shoes. Sandals, dress shoes, tennis shoes and soft-soled shoes.

6. What is going on this week? Working, as usual. We also have our builder out this week to do some repairs on our house. This week-end we will be hanging out with friends and I'll be getting ready for my trip to Chicago next week.

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you? Watching TV.  I swear it is the only thing that entertains her for a few minutes so I can get something done around the house.  Our TV is on Noggin most of the day.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? Banana's and cheerios.  We have tried everything but that is what she loves.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty?  She loves the grass and dirt.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference?That is hard because when they are so young it is hard to dicipline when they scream.  I think some kids are just screamers.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? Toast, Waffles, Bagels and Cream Cheese, Oatmeal and fruit or a Cereal bar

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? Luke - 100% yes! And all the rocks come home to be found again in the washing machine or in his bed. Ella, she likes to pick things up, put that is more because she is learning that she can.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants?  Pretty understanding And does age make a difference? A difference to my understanding - yes it does. make a difference with the screaming, it can make a difference but so does personality.

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl? Ella has one pair of Robeez and we just bought her another pair to grow into yesterday. She also has a pair that I bought for Easter, but they were just for looks.

6. What is going on this week? Luke's 12th b-day on Wednesday!! Heading to Wild Waves. Andy comes home on Friday. Ella's b-day party on Sunday!!! We could use some rain dances right now.

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you?  Not much!  Everything worries me, I'm a nervous mama.

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast?  I wouldn't say she's a toddler, but usually it's something like half a waffle, some kind of protein (turkey meatball, eggs, etc) and fruit. 

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty?  Not really, Mikayla is very particular about getting her hands gunky.  She doesn't like it.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference?  I'm not there yet, but Mikayla has started shrieking when she's tired or bored, and I don't like it.  I hope she's not a terror when she gets older!

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl?  Right now, about 10.  She really only wears 2-3 regularly.

6. What is going on this week?  Not a lot, just working and winding down from all the birthday festivities!

1. ?Food probably. ?I've given dd little tastes of food and never really waited 3 days after starting a new food before introducing something else. ?We don't have any food allergies on either side so I'm pretty lenient. ?

4. ?I'm way more understanding now that I am a mom. ?Mia discovered her voice and screaming a month or two ago and now will scream every now and then but she's too young to really do anything about it.

1.Whats the one thing that seems to concern other moms that doesn't concern you? Tantrums. Some moms go so bonkers when their kids have them, but they don't really bother me... I'm just like, "I'm sorry you're upset, but that's not how we get what we want," and continue doing what I'm doing. It doesn't really stress me. It's completely normal that they have them, and this too shall pass...

2.What does your toddler eat for breakfast? Usually a waffle (or part of it), cereal w/whole milk, and some banana or apple.

3.Does your child love to explore everything when outside? Picking up dirt, rocks, and get really dirty? Yes, most definitely! I encourage it and just keep a big bottle of Shout.

4. How understanding is everyone of a child who screams for no other reason that to get what he/she wants? And does age make a difference? I'm very understanding when that behavior is to be expected in the age range. I just took DD to Bell Sq. yesterday, and she loved the play area so much, I HAD to drag her away screaming, even though I gave her plenty of warning well beforehand we were leaving. I don't blame other moms when their child acts like that - how could I? It's part of their development! But yes, age does make a difference. There comes an age where that is not appropriate, and if it happens, it should only be once in a while.

5.How many pairs of shoes did dc have when they started to walk/crawl? A few... 5 or 6. She probably didn't need that many, but I am obsessed with shoes. Obsessed.

6. What is going on this week? It's DD's last week of class in the 1-2 yrs. room. Next week she switches to the 2-3 yrs. room. My little girl is getting so big! *tear*

7. Questions for next week? Which piece of baby gear do you love the most/has been the most helpful, and why?
