Spent another night in the hospital :(

Saturday night I was having some more contractions so I just timed them and went to bed. Yesterday morning I got up and had terrible cramping and more contraxs, felt sick to my stomach and just felt like something wasn't right. I had been telling my DH that I feel the baby is much much lower. Well I went with my gut and called the Dr. and he sent me to the hospital for some tests. My FFN came back negative but my cervix is way shorter. It was measuring around 2.5-3.1 and now it is 1.72 I am on my way to the Dr.s for a follow-up appt this morning.

My nerves are shot and I'm an emotional mess. This is so emotionally draining. This is now how its supposed to be. I'm supposed to have a great pregnancy and welcome Zachary at 39-40 weeks and take him home. I have reaccuring nightmares about the NICU and now I am not sleeping. Please send some prayer our way. Hopefully we will get some kind of good news from the Dr.

I'm so sorry you are going through all of this.  If it makes you feel any better with my first, they discovered at 31 weeks that I had a dynamic and shortened cervix.  I was having contractions randomly and was given terbutaline to take anytime they started to make them stop.  That along with bedrest got me to 37 weeks when I was able to get up and back to normal and I delivered a perfectly healthy baby boy at 38 weeks.

I am so sorry! I was on bed rest starting at 22 weeks with DS so I totally understand how you feel. The fear of delivering early takes over you. And, I also felt like it wasn't fair...that wasn't how I pictured my pregnancy. On a positive note...I carried DS until 38 weeks exactly. No NICU stay and I got to take home my baby boy. I hope the same happens for you

I'm so sorry that you are still dealing with the increased stress and that the situation doesn't seem to want to stablize.  I'm really hoping that baby Z hangs out in there for a lot longer and that you both remain healthy.  Good luck.  We're all thinking of you on here.
