Just when I thought I was doing better...yesterday happened. Long vent!

We went to my IL's for Father's Day. My 18yr old BIL has an 11mo old with his ex crazy gf! They just found out that he is truely the father sooooo she let him have him for the day. So here I sat staring at this baby knowing how ill-equipped both parents are to take care of it since NEITHER HAS A JOB and they are clueless and immature!! uggghhh it breaks my heart it took everything I had not to burst into tears because I know this kid is going to have a crap life until they get a clue!

Then we go to FSIL's house with IL's and all my BIL's which used to be her grandparents house which is an old antiques lot it's like 12acres of old rusty crap. She has 2 kids with an old bf and is 8mo pg with BIL's kid (this is a different BIL) who has a son of his own that he never sees. Anyway the girl sits around while her kids are smothering the 11mo old and they are sassing my H and I when we ask them to back off a bit and give the baby some space because everytime they got in his face he cried. I finally gave up asking the girls to give him space and having the mother of the girls tell me it's not my place to say anything because "NONE OF THESE KIDS ARE YOURS" well thank you! That wasn't a knife through the heart or anything!! I then took the baby and went out by the road to watch cars. I so badly wanted to kidnap my nephew because as we were standing there and I was finally calming down he puts his head on my shoulder and looks up at me with his big blue eyes. I just lost it!! OOOH and I almost forgot.....We're standing there and I flicked a tick off the stroller where the baby was and told my H to check himself since he was wearing shorts and FSIL tells me "oh it's not biggie you'll pick hundreds of ticks off yourself when you get home!" And of course they're deer ticks! Yeah, okay I wouldn't have gone for a walk around the yard if I knew there were rampant ticks....she then tells us the ones that were on my neck were most likely "FALLING FROM THE TREEES!" Are you kidding me??

When I got in the car I completely lost it!! I couldn't hold it in anymore. I then ranted to MH about how frustrating and upsetting it is that these people who don't give a crap about their kids have so damn many and there are so many people who have the means and actually want kids can't have them. It just kills me.

Sorry I just had to vent.....
