Big U/S on Tuesday

Well at my last appointment @ 17 weeks i got a surprise U/S when the doppler wouldn't pick up the baby's heart beat...The doctor wasn't able to tell the gender because the baby had it's legs together the whole time.  So i'm praying that our little one isn't so shy on thursday!!

I've been joking w/ D/H that the last U/S means its a girl because she's modest...if it was a boy it'd have been like TA-DA!!

With all of my sisters and I (there's 3 of us) they couldn't tell the gender because our legs were crossed so it might happen!

I was worried about the same thing so I drank some soda before going to my u/s and the baby was just moving around happily the whole time.

I had mine last Tuesday and like the previous poster, I drank a small Coke about 20 minutes before my appointment started. My baby was moving around like crazy for the whole ultrasound. When they tried to get the 3D image of his face, he turned a complete somersault!

Good luck at your u/s on Tuesday! Hopefully baby will cooperate for you.  My little girl was modest at first and it wasn't until an hour into the appointment that she decided to not be so modest.  Drink something sugary beforehand to get baby moving a bit.
