I know that they say they will fit newborns, but has anyone actually tried them on their newborn?

  • If your looking for something inexpensive but gets good press on the sites then the newborn prowraps are recommended. Also I see a lot of people loving the imsy vimsy (I think I spelled that wrong).

Edit** Oh, those are the wraps I have read about, not the actually dipes...

?Do you have a recommendation for newborns?

i used XS AIOs (BG and BB). i found the AIOs worked well b/c i knew disposables and i didn't have anything to "do" during the transition to parenthood (my brain was mush and i didn't have to worry about covers or stuffing, etc). ?we used XS for just over 4 months. i then sold mine and?recouped?enough $ to buy my smalls.?

now i'm using some Nana'sBottoms. ?they are very similar in fit to BG and BB. they are cheaper too (esp if you buy a grab bag and when she has sales).

BTW- my DS was 6lb 10oz (ish) when we started CDing. ?

  • My newborn was 10'15" [figure a little weight loss and then gain again] and NO!  They don't really fit until the baby is at least 11 or 12 pounds.  For us, the Bum Genius fit better, but we were advised by the diaper store that these would fit the smaller babies better...  Go figure.  Either way, after the umbilical cord came off, we were in cloth full time!
