I was outside all of 10 mins and acquired 3 bites on my legs!  I didn't have any real anti-itch insect bite stuff available so I dabbed some toothpaste on it and that has really been effective in taking out the itch for now!

I bought one of those new clip ons. It doesn't have deet in it and some of the sprays do. There is also a coupon on the web for free refill I used it at a cookout these weekend and no bites. We sat outside from like 7-10.
