i might be middle-ish? how far from the MA border is concord? i think purplepuggles and j.a.mommy are pretty close to each other and approx. 30-35ish mins south of me with no traffic.
prolly someplace off 93 would be easiest for everyone? no idea where though.. any ideas on what to do? i'd say drinks but am hoping i shouldn't be drinking so... lol..
If I have to bring DS drinks probably won't go well. He's not at an age where he sits still very well. We just had to bring his little dvd player to dinner with us and we felt like such delinquent parents but we just wanted one meal out where he didn't scream, throw a tantrum and one of us had to stand outside for half the meal.....
anyway. somewhere off 93 or 95 or 1 works for me. I am about equi-distance from all of them. I am pretty happy to go up to NH even. I haven't been since we moved here. also, i'd offer to host but its probably not the most convenient for everyone.
a picnic would be lovely if this rain ever stops! aren't there supposed to be some nice farms up north of boston? i keep seeing things about farms with petting zoos and things but no idea where any of them actually are, maybe one is called kimball farm?
A picnic sounds great! I would be happy to drive to northern MA if that works for everyone. It's about 60 minutes from me. Somewhere off of 93 would work well.
we sometimes go to cider hill farm in amesbury - that's off 495 though (but you can get to 495 from 93 on the south..not sure if that would be as easy for mrs nicolian though? but they should have goats and chickens and also pick your own whatevers-in-season (we love apple picking there in the fall) linky
also - j.a. - you should add ipswich to your towns to visit. crane's beach is awesome, the downtown is cute, and they have a farm/winery called russell's just down the road from cranes that i love - they have animals that just like, walk around out behind the store where the barn is.. some are penned but there are others that aren't.. good stuff. :-)

kimball's ice cream is good....also i don't know how convenient carlisle is, but great brook farm is there and it has woodsy trails, picnic areas animals and ice cream!
And we will add Ipswich to our list of places to visit! We have discovered that we are 100% not South Shore people so as long as it is north or west of the city we should be good... well, the Cape would be lovely but I don't think DH would go for the commute! haha.

I am totally open for any and all of these.

All those places sound great to me as well. I don't think anything off of 495 would be too painful.
I used to make the commute into Boston.. aka hell. Anyone else ever have to suffer the same torture?
At least it prepares you for driving anywhere..
