Train Birthday Party Ideas

Anyone have any? I really wanted to do a County Fair themed party, but with DS's current obsession with trains, not other theme seems right. I am still going to stick with color theme of red and light blue (since I already got his birthday shirt in those colors!) but need to rethink the rest. There will be about 20-25 kids, mostly 0-3 age range and their parents. I will most likely rent a community center type place. I would love to find a party room with a train theme or a room rental at a train station, but am not having luck. The Snoqualmie Train museum has a birthday party package for 10, but it doesn't really fit our needs. I also really need ideas for decorations, activities and food! Thanks!!

I think there's a park in Lake Forest Park that has a train playgound.  There's also a train station/museum thingy in Issaquah.

If you were unable to find a place that was train related for his party you could make train cars out of refrigerator boxes for a big train. Have the kids paint/color the cars. Or you could do them out of smaller boxes, same with color/paint, cut out the bottoms of the boxes, add ribbon straps and then they can wear their car, and make their own train.

Osh Gosh has striped overalls that are train related.

Wooden train whistles would be a fun party favor.

You can get train crossing signs, etc from Lillian Vernon Kids.

You could get the train crossing signal bank that makes noise when you put money in, then you can fill it at the party.
