Spent my Sat in L&D

A little background: I have had a miscarriage last year and I had the LEEP procedure this past December. Well I woke up yesterday with spotting. I was trying to get ready for my best friend's wedding, and my husband was already at the wedding getting ready b/c he is a groomsman. After I realized it wasn't going away, I called the doctor and she said to head straight to labor and delivery (based on my history).

Well, I didn't want my husband to miss being in our best friend's wedding, until I knew what was going on and how serious it was, so I called my mom and dad. They were 3 1/2 hours away on vacation, so I had to call my aunt while my parents headed this way to meet me. We went to L&D, they monitored me for contractions and did an ultrasound to check my cervix. After being there for 4 hours, everything looked fine. They just told me to go home and rest. They don't know why I am spotting. It was so scary and I am so glad to be home safe and sound with good news.

Thanks so much ladies! It is crazy how fragile we can be even though we don't even realize it. I give my hat off to the bed rest girls. It is an emotional situation, I am sure. This is the first (and probably only time) I will say this but I can't wait for summer to be over. I want fall to get here as soon as possible so Chase can be in my arms.
