Nursery question- painting

Should I wait to paint the green stripe in the room til after I get the bedding (so it matches) even though I registered for it and I might not get it til 30 weeks or so? Maybe I should just buy a piece of it and paint. Is bedding a common item to recieve at your shower?

I would buy a small piece of it and then if you get that piece at your shower just return the piece you got as a gift.

I probably wouldn't paint without KNOWING it would match.

but that's just me!!!

I completely agree with the previous poster.  If you want to paint now, buy one of the sheets or something else in the set that displays the colors you want. Then bring it to a paint store to match. I cannot tell you how many fabric/paint swatches I went through before finding the right one.

I agree...buy a piece of bedding so it matches.

I bought my crib and bedding set myself, that way i could have the major stuff (painting-matching) done.  You dont want to worry about getting that stuff done too late.

If you don't want to buy the bedding go to Lowe's or where ever you will get the paint and get about a dozen paint chip thingies that you think are close to the color and then take them with you to look at the bedding again and match them that way.

I bought the wall border and used that to match the paint color. Like the pp said, you could always grab a bunch of samples and bring them to the store though.

We got tons of samples and once we got a piece of bedding it turned out great! Good luck!
