Rylee Ann made her entrance into the world on 6/17 at 12:25am weighing 6lbs14oz and 20 1/4". She has been a dream baby so far, sleeping for 4 hours at a time at night and eating like a champ. Her big brother is so proud and shows her off to anyone who comes to visit.
I started to have some mild contractions on Tuesday at 10:30am and just timed them all day until 4pm when they were about 4 minutes apart but still not to painful. I called the Dr. and the nurse scared the cr@p out of me by asking how fast I could possibly get to the hospital since this was my second and I my contractions had gotten so close. DH was on his way home but I still wouldn't be able to make it for another hour so I sat still and tried not to move. They checked me in to the anipartum room to monitor me at 5:30pm and I was still 3cm and 80% like I was the day before at my appointment so the nurse said they would watch me for 1 hour and if nothing had changed I would go home. I was upset that I might have to go home but when they checked again I was 4cm so I got to stay. I moved into the L&D room and when the Dr. came into to check me I was already 5cm and this was at 7:45. My contractions still weren't that painful so the Dr. decided to break my water and just like with DS as soon as that happened my contractions became unbearable. But since I had just had my blood work done they had to wait to get the results back before the anesthesiologist could come in. So after an hour of some serious pain I got my relief and when they checked me again at 9:45pm I was 7am. By 11:15 I was 9cm and I started feeling some pressure at 11:45 and I was at 10cm. I started to push with the nurse but only did that for 15 minutes before she had me stop so she could get the Dr. I had about 8 minutes of pushing with the Dr. before she came out. I was a little surprised at how fast and easy my labor was. I only have 1 little stitch and my milk came in within 48 hours so I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
