TTC when LO is 9mo?

My little girl is 4-1/2 months right now and I'm already wanting baby no. 2!! This would unrealistic right now for us becuse I work full time and have already used up my FML for the year, so I have to wait. I always knew that when we had kids, they would be in close in age. (DH & his brother are 4 years apart and weren't close growing us, my bro & I are 2-1/2 and were really close.) Would it be silly of me to start trying when she is nine months, medically. I've been advised by friends that it's not recommended to start until after 9mo pp... My fear is that I will jump the gun and put my pregnancy at risk.

I got pregnant when DS was about 7 months old.... The doctors have never once said anything about extra risks this may/may not cause.  And I have had a completely normal pregnancy thus far!

I was told at my pp appt from the 1st pg not to TTC until 1 year; however we TTC at 9mos and got pg that month.  My kids will be 18mos apart.  I'm a little nervous but in the long run I think it will be well worth it.

we started TTC when DD was 6 months, but I was still BFing, so it took a little longer - I got PG at 10 months.  The Dr never said anything to me & I told her we would be TTC when DD was 6 months.

We asked our OB when we were pg with #1 - she said wait 6 months for your body to heal. After having our pretty hard baby, I was planning to wait until 2 years....fate had other plans....

DS was 9 months old when I got PG with #2. I was ready to TTC when he was 4 months old, too, but we waited. It's really hard having them that close when they are little, but I'm sure I'll be glad later on that they are so close. They play with a lot of the same toys and like the same things.

We began trying when DS was 9 months old, thinking it would take a while to conceive (we were wrong!).  I think ideally it's recommended you wait at least a year, but talk to your dr. and see what he/she says.

FWIW, this pregnancy has been super-easy & healthy.

We started ttc when our daughter was 10 months old, and got pregnant 3 months later.  I like the spacing, although I will admit it's been a challenge & I'd like my next two to be spaced further apart in age.

i think most?practitioners?advise waiting a year. with that said, i don't think having them closer than that = higher risk for the pregnancy, just that it's harder on your body.?

That's how old my daughter was when I conceived my son. It was fine.
