I'm supposed to have researched this by now, but yesterday and today have been busier than I thought... annnd now I'm running out of time.?
Anyone have any suggestions for a good place to go to brunch, particularly near the Eastside? Every time I pick something out on Citysearch, it's hit or miss. Maybe you ladies can give me some better tips. TIA!
Re: Good brunch places?
The restaurant at Newcastle Golf Course has a phenomenal brunch - the whole big giant traditional buffet with an omelette guy and all... a huge sushi table, big dessert table, etc. But it's pricey. We usually go at Christmastime with my family.
A few weeks ago we went to the Preservation Kitchen in Bothell for brunch/lunch - and it was REALLY good and sooooo reasonably priced. It's an order off the menu thing. Not a big buffet.
I've been to a nice brunch (menu not buffet) at the Iris Grill in Issaquah too.
Salty's, on Alki beach, has an AMAZING bruch buffet, with an enourmous selectionof fresh seafood, an omlette bar, waffle bar, dessert room 9not kidding---ROOM), pretty much any food you can imagine.
Cutter's Bay House in Downtown Seattle as a great "order off the menu" brunch. The dungeoness crab benedict is to die for.
Wild Wheat, in Kent, is an amazing "all day" breakfast place.
The only Easter Bunny I can get behind.

its seattle --- but portage bay cafe is my favorite brunch spot (besides salty's on alki, which is super and huge!)
the south lake union location is huge... usually a wait, even when I've called ahead (2 highchairs).... but delish!!
where did you decide to go?
I decided on Iris, so thank you for that! Some of the others w/the buffets sound amazing, but Iris is the one closest to us (and it sounds good, too - I checked out the menu). DH and I usually don't care about distance at all, but we're going w/our neighbors, and they have 2 kids, 1 w/some severe health issues, so they don't like to go far. I wanted to be considerate of their needs, you know??
But these all sound great. I'm totally writing them down and logging it away in my phone book. Thanks, girls! ?
