I decided to thumb my nose at the state and their antics (and no, they haven't passed the budget yet. grrrr), and ordered some sock yarn during the Knitpicks yarn sale, so I can make socks for everyone for Christmas.

I'm very, very pleased!

The black & golden-ish are silk-merino blend, the burgundy is a kettle dyed merino blend, and the rainbow is a handpainted merino blend.

Aren't they stunning?!

I did something I NEVER do: I used the credit card.  I wanted to get these done by early October, and when I saw the yarn on sale for really great prices, I decided that it probably counted as a CC usage approved purchase.

I wonder if anyone will notice if I show up with the kids at the congrassional meetings and ask for lunch?

I'm making J a pair of the camel & a pair of the black, Xavian a pair of the black, Saxton a pair of the black, Korra & I each a pair of the Seven Dwarfs w/ the burgundy trim, and Korra a pair of the burgundy.
