Babies on the Brain

Its a good thing they don't evaluate the fitness to have pets on teh ability to raise plants...

I just went to transplant my seedlings from their respective wee pots into the flower garden...

there are 1/2 as many seedlings as there were a week ago.

Apparently forgetting to water them for 3-4 days at a time isn't good for them.  At least it means those that survived are hard to kill so when I forget to water the flower beds, they'll survive, right?  maybe?

I need to stick to living things that have the ability to tell me when they need water...like the cats :-P

This is me, exactly!  Plants and fish never remind me that they're hungry/thirsty, so I neglect them.  My dog is another story.

LOL I have the same problem. Lots of dead plants & fish but 2 healthy dogs.

  • I'm the same way.  DH says I have a black thumb.  He's probably right... I've killed a few cactus because of not watering them.  That takes some hardcore forgetfulness.  It's amazing my kids and dogs are still alive.
  • I, too, am amazing at killing plants. They look at me and die.

I will say, cats do NOT help with this.

I have to move the plants to places non-cat-accessable (if such places exist) so they're out of sight...and out of mind.  and dead.

now that they're outside, I'm going to assume mother nature will work w/ them.

Also, you can blame her if they don't survive!
