Hey December mama's of soon to be 3 year olds!
What are you planning on doing this year for their birthdays?
I have made up my mind to do J's birthday party in November after her birthday last year, but my November is quickly getting booked up. Do you think having a party in October is too early?
I was going to do Chucky Cheese, The Children's Museum, or rent a hall. I haven't decided, and they all cost about the same.
Re: **Jill**Caldwell**
Man, you are ahead of the game. If it were me I would do January instead of October. Just so it's not around another holiday; Halloween, Thanksgiving. You could plan it for a month after her actual day, but do the family stuff closer to her birthday.
I am thinking we may do Little Gym for his birthday, but I really have no idea. We don't have a lot of family, no cousins, just my parents and my sister. So we could do it at our house again, depending on how many friends we invite (he has about 4 good friends). It is hard being at the cold season. I am also thinking aobut looking into one of the jump places, I know he would love that too.
Now you have me thinking...
I'm going to do Ben's in January, and I think I'm going to do a jumpy place.
October seems really early. But Jo won't know or care. COuld you do the 1st weekend in Dec?
Well, I would do December, except we have a Christmas Party every weekend starting the first weekend in December. I could do both Birthday Party and Christmas Party in the same day, but I would be really tired.
Maybe I should start thinking about January, definately less busy around here.
For our schedule January is much easier, not only because of holidays but work schedules also. Since I work retail, over the holidays are crazy and I would rather wait until it's all over so I won't be as crazy. We also have dh's b.day, and my Mom's over that time frame.
I just looked up Jump Planet and they only do the smaller parties (16 people) during the week or fri. mornings, which doesn't seem like it would work. I called our Little Gym and got their info, I am leaning more that way, since he loves it and we could do it on the weekend.
Yeah, you could just pay for the bigger party though... It looks the same at 321 Bounce.
I do feel like this year I don't want to screw Ben with a small at home party like we've doen the last 2 years. Even though he had fun at both. I don'tknow - I feel like he might remember this one now. But maybe not.
I thought of that, but it's an extra $100 which seems crazy to me, plus it's further away from us.
I feel the same way, since we are ttc this could be his last b.day/holiday being our only, and I think he will understand it more at this age.
This is exactly how I feel about her birthday this year. We have gone to 3 birthday parties this year, and J is getting into the entire presents, cake, songs, and stuff.
Jill - Our Christmas Schedule is crazy. First weekend of December is a friends party, second weekend is DH's office party, 3rd weekend is DH's Seattle office party, and DH always does all 3. That plus, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years, FIL's birthday makes me loath December right now.
